IDENTITY IN CHRIST

1) I am faithful (Ephesians 1:1)

Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and who are faithful in Christ Jesus.

2) I am God’s child (John 1:12)

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

3) I have been justified (Romans 5:1)

We have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

4) I am Christ’s friend (John 15:15)

Abraham is referred to in Scripture as a "friend of God" (James 2:23). Here, Jesus calls the disciples—and by extension, those believers who "abide" in Him (John 15:9–10)—His "friends," as proven by communication. God openly spoke with Abraham (Genesis 18:17), and Jesus openly speaks with us through His Word (John 15:7). That Christ instructs and informs us, beyond brute commands, as well as offering His life for our sake (John 15:13) are powerful proofs that He sees us as His "friends."

5) I belong to God (1 Corinthians 6:20)

God created us but He has redeemed us. We not only belong to the Lord because He formed and fashioned us out of the dust of the earth.

6) I am a member of Christ’s Body (1 Corinthians 12:27)

They are both the body of Christ together as a group, and they are individual members of the body of Christ.

7) I am assured all things work together for good (Romans 8:28)

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

8) I have been established, anointed and sealed by God (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts.

9) I am a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20)

We eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

10) I am hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3)

Being hidden in Christ means we have an eternal relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which is a solid hope for today and forever.

11) I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind - Scripture Frame - Bible Verse.

12) I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me (1 John 5:18)

We know that no one begotten by God sins; but the one begotten by God he protects, and the evil one cannot touch him.

13) I am blessed in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

14) I am chosen before the creation of the world (Ephesians 1:4, 11)

Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him.

15) I am holy and blameless (Ephesians 1:4)

Christ are holy and blameless. We will note three things about this verse. First, that God “chose” us here, the sovereign creator and sustainer

16) I have purpose (Ephesians 1:9 & 3:11)

We have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
